Tucked high in the Eastern Rhodope Mountains (South Bulgaria) near the city of Kardzhali, Perperikon is an ancient Thracian city carved entirely from rock. They say it’s over 7,000 years old — older than the Acropolis, and some believe it was once a powerful oracle site, rivaling Delphi. The energy here is still palpable.
