Me, myself , and Mrs. Chen

There’s something magical about waking up before the world. In the stillness of the morning, when the city is still wrapped in sleep, there’s a kind of peace that’s hard to find during the day. I remember one early morning in Shaoxing, China—an almost surreal experience. The streets, usually filled with the hustle and bustle of life, were empty, the grey skies and moody atmosphere adding to the quiet. It was just me, the city, and Mrs. Chen.

As I walked, I stumbled upon Mrs. Chen, practicing Tai Chi in an open square. Her movements were slow and graceful, a peaceful contrast to the quiet city around us. It was the perfect antidote to my jet lag.
