A question we’re often asked:  🙋‍♂️What’s the 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 between a traditional 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁 and a 𝗟𝗦𝗩 (𝗟ow 𝗦peed 𝗩ehicle)?🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️

Let’s take a look 👀 They seem so similar, but the differences are MAJOR! ⚡️𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘸:
 
☝️ What does “street legal” mean? 
-For a 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁: dmv serial No. permit registration ($5) to owner with a valid driver’s license and address, proof of insurance. 
-For a 𝗟𝗦𝗩: DOT (Dept of Transportation) compliant seat belts, windshield, tires to name a few. An assigned VIN for DMV issued title, registration and license plate to owner with a valid driver’s license along with proof of insurance.

2. WHEN may I drive?? 
-𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁: 🌞 day light hours ONLY.
-𝗟𝗦𝗩: whenever you like. You paid vehicle property taxes, insured your vehicle and have a valid driver license, right?

3. WHERE may I drive? 
-𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁: within 4 radius miles of home (consider your battery 🪫 life) on LOCAL roads marked 25mph or less. Yes, you may cross over a higher speed STATE road at a traffic light 🚦 or 🛑 stop sign, but not travel the road with traffic.       
-𝗟𝗦𝗩: LOCAL & STATE roads marked 35mph or less (your vehicle’s 25 miles per hour speed helps you keep up with traffic & 🔋 that lithium battery can get you an average 40 miles round trip). No restrictions on distance from your home.
