It’s not the sugar, it’s the fat.

High HbA1c? Most people blame carbs or sugar. But the real disruptor is excess fat (in body & diet) and excess  protein in the diet, which interferes with insulin signaling and traps glucose outside the cells.

Here’s what really happens:
🥓 High fat / protein intake → fat accumulates in organs and blood stream 
🚫 This blocks insulin from opening glucose channels
📉 Sugar can’t enter → stays in the bloodstream
📈 HbA1c rises as glucose sticks to hemoglobin

🩺 This isn’t a “sugar overload” problem , it’s glucose being locked out due to a fatty blood stream and lipotoxicity.

Meanwhile, fruits, sugar and carbs can reverse it. 

In fact, high-carb, low-fat plant-based diets consistently:
✔ Lower HbA1c
✔ Improve insulin sensitivity
✔ Reverse early-stage type 2 diabetes

📊 My HbA1c is 5.2% , within the optimal range
