We all warn our friends when they’re about to do something risky — and that’s normal. But what happened in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, went far beyond a simple warning.

According to CCTV footage, two friends had stopped at a petrol pump to refill their bike. During the process, one of them attempted to light a cigarette. When the other tried to stop him, the situation escalated. The lit cigarette or lighter sparked a sudden fire near the fuel, and the bike caught flames within seconds.

What could have been a casual stop turned into a dangerous incident at a highly sensitive location. The fire created panic at the petrol pump, putting lives at risk.

The incident took place on Thursday evening. Police have arrested both individuals and launched a further investigation.

A reminder that negligence around fuel is never a joke — one careless act can turn into a serious disaster.
