I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed “ The Hand Built Show” 
This event is literally 1 block from my studio I went sat night for serious look and Sunday went back for more.. 
I met Shinya Kimura it was quite serendipitous as I’d walk the show and then found his work and I couldn’t walk away .. immediately I thought I understand him in such a intimate way, as an artist looks at another real artist not with envy but with monumental respect . What do I know about motorcycles , I’ve loved them all of my life and had a hand full there has always been something in me that loves these machines.  Shinya’s creation are like kinetic sculptures that function as mode of rapid movement.  They are old and new at the same time  Both forged and birthed, stunning pieces of asymmetrical beauty with a reverence for nature and machine. 
🦾 after completely loosing it and telling my friend who was with me russellstratton how what we are seeing art , the shape the colors used the wear and finishes.. these are art pieces .. 

I take one step back to take it in and their is Shinya , after a introduction by Russ , I went full “ROLLAND MODE” and told him without editing my thoughts everything I’d thought in the last 30 mins .. 

I less than 60 seconds .. 
he asked if I was a builder , I said no I’m an artist and you are not a builder either your an Artist .. 
we exchanged Info and I was honored.. 

Went back today and meet more amazing people 
Saw the Ives Brothers and Naco , defy gravity and chatted with them after the show… it was a good day with amazing energy and inspiration in every moment..
