A bit of a Mahmoud Darwish way. 
You left me alone,
a shadow that lost its body at sunset.
A ghost of a love that died
but was never buried.
An echo of your old laughter
wanders with me through every empty house.
Sometimes I see you
in a rusted mirror of the past,
and I hear your voice saying,
“I do not deserve this longing.”
In the night of solitude,
I speak with your silent phantom
and ask it:
Why did you let my heart bleed so slowly—
as if it were learning how to lose?
My heart — despite the ruin —
still keeps crumbs of our love.
But my memory insists
on replaying the final scene,
as if punishing me for trying to forget.
