Throughout my life I have itched for “the thing” — the right high, the perfect love, the essential combination of practices and supplements and THINGS to feel…complete? 

What a joke. It’s not real. I think the trick is to find practices and people and “healthy highs” that make us feel good enough most of the time. Otherwise we’re constantly chasing more and better — an all too common pothole on the spiritual path.

So, along with this (attempted) acceptance of the enough-ness of our lives, perhaps we can also lean into the sweet miraculous beauty and grace of everyday moments that too often get passed over.

You know these…
💋 the way the sun dances through leaves
💋 the coziness of a blanket on a cold evening
💋 the first hug or kiss after missing someone for a long time
💋the feeling of a dog consensually licking your face (it should always be!)
💋doing literally anything that you told yourself you would do…

It’s these moments that I savor and try to hold onto just tightly enough to appreciate in the now.
