Google Maps is getting a major upgrade, both visually and in how you interact with it. The new “Ask Maps” feature lets you find places just by speaking to it in a natural, conversational way.

For example, you could ask something like, “My phone is about to die — where can I charge it without waiting in a long coffee line?” and Maps will suggest nearby options.

Google is also introducing Immersive Navigation, which shows a detailed 3D view of roads, buildings, and landmarks along your route, helping you better understand where you’re going and making navigation more accurate.
