I am on a growth journey. 🌱

And oh boy, am I feeling uncomfortable!

Stepping out of the old comfort zone will do that to you…

In the last few months, I have been intentionally driving myself to step out of what is comfortable for me, and push myself into avenues of discomfort.

As part of this journey, I have asked myself what type of leader I want to be and how to become that person as authentically as possible, while still staying true to myself.

One of the areas I am working on is being more vocal.

Here’s the rub, and I know my fellow data/ tech nerds will relate: Although I am in the business of people - constantly engaging with my clients and prospective clients - I am actually a total introvert.

Now, just to clarify: an introvert is introverted; as such, we usually are not the type to be vocal about what we get up to, and I often have a cringe moment when the attention is focused on me. 

I realise that I SHOULD be more vocal about all the exciting things I am up to with my business, because what I’m working towards is something to BE vocal about. 

The thing is, you don’t become a leader overnight; a leader has to be formed from life journeys and experiences. I’ve come a long way and I don’t think I should keep my lessons to myself anymore. 

Not if someone else can benefit from where I’ve come from.

So in light of that…I’m practicing being vocal to let you know I’ve just been featured in the CEO Spotlight in CEO World Magazine.
