There are strong arguments on both sides. And honestly, I do think tools like AI can be helpful — if we know how to use them smartly. But can it truly replace a creative mind when it comes to crafting powerful brand stories through animation and motion design?

To find out, I gave ChatGPT the full creative brief for thecleanxpress — a USA-based touchless drive-thru car wash brand. I asked it to storyboard the intro animation I was working on.

And let’s just say... the results were less “ultimate experience” and more “ultimate confusion.” 😅
.
It took dozens of prompts, loads of adjustments, and still lacked the emotional connection and storytelling that thecleanxpress needed to truly shine.

When I took over the project myself, I designed a storyboard and animation that captured the brand’s values: Speed. Care. Innovation. Eco-friendliness.
That’s the real power of human creativity in motion design. 🚀

AI is a tool — not a storyteller. It can assist, but it can’t feel a brand’s essence the way a creative mind does. (At least not yet.)
