This past week, I’ve been at a writing camp near Amsterdam, in Zandvoort. I won’t lie—people canceled on me, and it didn’t go as planned. But it gave me time to be alone with my thoughts, which, in hindsight, was exactly what I needed. I spent time with family I hadn’t known too well, including my grandmother’s sister. We had dinner, caught up, and shared stories—family stuff that I don’t often get to experience. I also did an interview for the radio, which will air tomorrow.

There’s been so much happening, and as my time here wraps up, I feel like I need to be honest. Sometimes, it feels like people don’t really care about what I do. You see them in person, and they’ll say, “Oh, you’re doing so well,” but online, it’s crickets. And it gets to me sometimes. It’s made me hesitate to post, to share. But I’ve realized something: even if I don’t always get the reactions I expect, I’m still here. I’m still creating.

This camp has been about more than just the music. I’ve had so much on my plate—shows to organize, marketing plans, TV programs—and still, I’ve stayed focused on what matters. My music. This album I’m working on is about being in the middle of the storm, staying centered while everything swirls around you.

Today is my lover’s birthday, and I feel grounded. Being with them gives me this safe space to put my thoughts into motion, to channel my emotions into something real. This time has reminded me of the beauty in both destruction and creation—how they coexist.

I’m working hard because I believe in what I have to say. This album isn’t just about me. It’s about my story, the story of my family, and the broader human story—the way we talk about our world, our politics, our climate. I want my music to strike like a storm, to make you think, to push you into action.

And now, I’m sharing this with you because I want you to know where I’m coming from. This is personal, and it’s vulnerable. I just hope that what I’m putting out there makes you feel something. That it makes you listen. Thanks for being here and hearing me out.

Also I’m an official fan of the circuits… 😅
