🎬: Godzilla (1954)

Godzilla (1954) is the original Japanese kaiju film that launched the iconic franchise, directed by Ishirō Honda and produced by Toho. It tells the story of a gigantic, prehistoric reptile awakened and mutated by nuclear b*mb testing, which then attacks Japan, serving as a powerful allegory for the horrors of nuclear we*pons. The film is famous for pioneering “suitmation” special effects and its blend of monster spectacle with serious social commentary, becoming a landmark in cinema history.
