New York has an incredible opportunity to combat the rise of extreme inequality as many New Yorkers are struggling with stagnant wages and rising costs for essentials like food and housing by properly taxing the ultra-rich.
 
In recent years, those in the top 1% have actually been the least likely to leave the state. A failure to address the high cost of essentials like housing, food, and childcare means it’s working-and middle-class families who have been more likely to move.
 
Tax reform is critical to ensuring that everyone — not just the wealthy few — can thrive. #TaxTheRich
