Most effort comes after the first build: App Store metadata, screenshots, localization, privacy disclosures, support emails, crash handling, and updates. Many first-time indie developers underestimate this overhead.

✅ You will question the app’s value more than its code
Technical challenges are concrete and solvable. Doubts about whether the app truly matters to users are more psychologically demanding.

✅ Your first app is primarily an education, not a business
The real return is learning the end-to-end process: ideation, execution, launch, iteration, and deprecation. This knowledge compounds for future projects.
