Let’s get real - I used to binge-watch those “How I Became a Developer in 3 Months” videos like they were Netflix in 2019, believing each creator who showed off their 150K salary while casually leaving out that their spouse paid all the bills during their “quick” career change. I remember feeling like a failure when my journey didn’t match their perfectly packaged timeline, until I realized most of these stories are heavily filtered - they don’t show the 2 AM anxiety attacks, the dozens of rejected applications, or the month you had to skip learning because life got in the way. 
The truth? 
My journey took way longer than these videos suggested, involved a lot more instant ramen than inspirational montages, and taught me that the only timeline that matters is your own. If you’re watching success stories right now and feeling behind, trust me - we’ve all sat on our bed at midnight, watching these videos and wondering “what am I doing wrong?” when in reality, we’re doing just fine on our own path❤️
