## Caption

A phishing scam is currently circulating across social media and has been hitting wrestling accounts at a high rate. If you receive a DM asking you to "cast a vote" for someone to co-host a podcast event with Spotify and Google, do not click the link.

The message appears to come from someone you know because their account has already been hacked. The link redirects to an official-looking page designed to steal your username and password. Once you enter your credentials, the scammers take control of your account and use it to send the same message to everyone in your DMs, spreading the scam further.

Missy Hyatt's account was compromised through this scam and she was unable to recover it. She has since created a new account at RealMissyHyatt on X.

If you receive this message: Do not click the link. Do not enter your credentials on any page it sends you to. The person who sent it did not write the message. Their account has been hacked.
​
If you already clicked and entered your information: Change your password immediately. Enable two-factor authentication if you haven't already. Two-factor authentication requires a second verification beyond your password, like a code sent to your phone, which prevents anyone from logging in even if they have your password.
​
This wave has been specifically targeting wrestling accounts across X. Not sure about others although it's possible.
