Short answer: No and we do not visit random cemeteries at night! 

Long answer: We do however welcome responsible travelers who want to learn from, appreciate and fairly compensate indigenous people for the knowledge exchange. We sync our programming with the ongoing rituals in the different communities

For the 6th year in a row, we will be hosting our expression, Lanii Tu’guul, our Zapotec Celebration of the dead, opening up our homes offering intimate, bilingual educational experiences to responsible travelers in Oaxaca running daily from October 25 - November 5, 2026

Right now, we’re in full preparation for this year’s experiences. As always, working in community takes time, care, and intention. We collaborate with over 80 Indigenous-owned businesses across 13 communities, taking the time to honor each family’s unique traditions, ensuring that everyone has agency as to how they’re represented and is fairly compensated-especially during this sacred and intimate time of year

Our goal is to launch the experiences this month so we appreciate your patience and support as we prepare for a meaningful and respectful celebration
