Since we moved into our home, this little spandrel nook had only ever been used for storage. For the longest time, I envisioned turning it into something meaningful — a cozy Spiritual Nook just for my kids. A space where they could pray, read, unwind, and enjoy some quiet “me time.”

After working on it for a few days in secret, I finally surprised them.. and their reaction was absolutely priceless! Moments like these make every bit of effort worth it 💕

* Spandrel — a tiny room under the stairs is called a spandrel, which is the triangular space, most commonly known as an under-stair closet, storage nook, or just the cupboard — perfect for storage, a small office, or even a cozy reading spot. 

* We don’t actually give our kids timeout in garage. Just use it as a warning. Before y’all come after me.
