lara.heini secured second place in the Most Valuable Player (MVP) election at the SRF Sports Awards in Switzerland. One year ago, Heini finished third in the same voting.

Heini secured 17.5% of the votes, placing her ahead of ice hockey goalkeeper Leonardo Genoni, who came in third with 16% of the votes. Footballer Géraldine Reuteler took first place in the category with 29.3% of the votes.

Heini’s nomination recognised her status as the world’s best floorball goalkeeper and a key leader within the national team. She certainly lived up to that reputation during the 2025 World Floorball Championships in Brno and Ostrava, where Switzerland claimed their second-ever WFC title, their first since 2005. The team will now look to defend their title at the 2027 World Floorball Championships in Turku, Finland.
