Sometimes the best thing you can do is choose yourself… even when it’s uncomfortable… Being “selfish” was never easy for me. Growing up as the middle child, I learned to compromise… a lot. To the point where I sometimes lost my own opinions, or felt guilty even having them. Even little things, like picking where to eat, felt uncomfortable if it meant going against someone else. One day, I hit my limit, not even sure what sparked it, but I agreed it was time to finally chose myself. And honestly? It still feels uncomfortable sometimes. It’s a daily balance between being selfless and staying true to what I actually want and need. But I’m learning that choosing yourself isn’t selfish… it’s necessary.
