3.8 million of you watched this reel. But here’s the question nobody asked:

WHY do these 5 things actually work after 40?

I’m a holistic nutritionist. 20+ years. Thousands of food diaries. And these 5 habits aren’t random. They’re all connected to one thing: INSULIN.

Stopping eating by 7pm isn’t about willpower. Melatonin starts blocking your insulin receptors in the evening. Eat into that window and your body stores fat regardless of what’s on the plate.

Sleeping 10pm to 6am isn’t trendy. Research shows even partial sleep loss increases ghrelin (your hunger hormone) and decreases leptin (your fullness signal). You wake up hungrier, with higher morning glucose. Every. Single. Day.

I teach macros so you understand what’s on your plate. Not so you can track them forever. The goal is food literacy, knowing enough about protein, fat, and carbs that you can eat intuitively and make informed decisions without an app.

I might track for 2 weeks a year to recalibrate. But after 40, macros alone don’t tell the whole story. Your hormones determine where that fuel actually goes. Blood sugar balance is the lever. My A1C is 4.7. Not from obsessive tracking. From understanding what moves the needle.

I eat carbs. Strategically. High stress day? More carbs at dinner improves sleep and next day insulin sensitivity. Restriction doesn’t fix cortisol. Timing does.

And I run DUTCH tests because you cannot guess your way to hormone balance. A standard blood panel misses your 24 hour cortisol pattern, estrogen metabolism, and methylation. That’s where the real answers are.

These aren’t quick fixes. They’re the foundation of an insulin centric approach I’ve used for two decades.

The science doesn’t change because it’s unpopular.
