Come November, urban planners expect to begin a multimillion dollar project aimed at revitalizing Chattanooga's downtown riverfront, making it a park that residents use on a more daily basis.

The project is estimated to cost about $40 million, Mack said. The city of Chattanooga and Hamilton County are each contributing $5 million to the project, and the state of Tennessee is investing $15 million.
