First up in our meet the team series is Doug Hinton! In his role as Board of Directors President, Doug is focused on strengthening the NCVF foundation by enhancing programs and introducing educational opportunities.

Here's a few facts you may not know about Doug...

- Doug translated the skills he learned as a collegiate club leader into his role with the NCVF. "As a former player and club president, I discovered that the organizational, budgeting, and interpersonal skills I developed in that role were instrumental in my career success."

- His favorite memory happens every year at the NCVF nationals. “Between sets 1 and 2 of the Men’s finals, when 5,000 college athletes join arms and belt out 'Sweet Caroline.' You'd have to be there to experience the full effect—it gives me chills and brings a smile to my face every time, seeing everyone united and enjoying an event that continues to grow each year.”

- Doug’s biggest piece of advice for current club teams is to enjoy the experience. “Enjoy your time in college playing or learning the sport you love alongside your volleyball friends—many of whom will likely become lifelong friends. Some of my closest friends today are former volleyball teammates from my playing and coaching days."
