Punch the famous baby Japanese macaque is “gradually integrating” with his counterparts, zoo staff have said.
 
After being abandoned by his mum and other monkeys when he was born eight months ago, keepers at Ichikawa Zoo gave him a stuffed orangutan toy to help him feel less lonely.
 
He became extremely attached to it and pictures of Punch dragging the toy around went viral.
 
Since then, people have been travelling far and wide to get a glimpse of him in Japan. 
 
But in happy news, Punch seems to be getting on a lot better, and even making some monkey mates.
