UPDATE: Luis is now back in Mexico, according to his wife. She says he was released from the detention center Tuesday morning and taken back to his native country by bus. 

While the Trump administration has promoted free flights and cash for undocumented immigrants who choose to leave the U.S., the process isn’t so easy.
