❗️The Ford GT Mk IV just delivered one of the wildest Nürburgring laps ever recorded by a gas-powered car.

It clocked a blistering 6:15.977, making it the fastest American car to ever lap the Nordschleife.

Even more impressive, it’s now the fastest internal combustion car to take on the ‘Ring, beating out hybrid-era competition.

That time places it third overall in Nürburgring history, sitting just behind extreme prototype-level machines.

Unlike most cars at the top, the GT Mk IV does it with pure twin-turbo V6 power and no hybrid assistance.

Built as a track-only machine by Multimatic, it features extended aero, massive downforce, and over 800 horsepower.

While it’s not street legal, the performance still sends a strong message about what gas-powered engineering can achieve.

For American performance cars, this marks a massive leap forward on a track long dominated by European brands.
