The final and most impressive road trip in this series! The deserts of Southern California are amongst the darkest places that America has to offer and contain some of the only places in the states in which the Milkyway can be seen in all of its glory. Even during the day, the California desert presents an array of vibrant colors and a perfect place to escape all of the crowds. And of course, there is nothing quite like a desert sunset.
