Betsy Wood is a Director of Community Outreach for Alpine Bank. She has been with the bank since 2018 and volunteers with Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA, a volunteer advocacy program for children who have been abused or neglected. 

“Without CASA designating a volunteer to advocate for these children they might not ever escape the abuse, trauma and neglect they are all living with,” said Wood. “No kid deserves to be in that type of environment.” 

Realizing the impact CASA can have on young people in her community, Wood went all in as a participant (2023) and as a member of the planning committee (2024) for the organization’s Dancing with the Stars fundraiser event. Last year, they raised more than $110,000 for CASA. 

“The event is about fundraising, so CASA has the resources it needs,” shared Wood. “Resources that can help a child have safety, stability and hope for the future.”
