Just over a month ago, I woke up a little worse for wear after a night out with friends. I hopped on Instagram while still in bed and saw a call to arms to help a dog named Boo Radley, who was struggling with life in a shelter after being rescued off the side of the highway. Never having fostered before, but knowing the power it holds from adopting our own rescue pup four years ago, I paced the house repeating “I think we are the ones to help Boo” to my boyfriend. I reached out to underdogsrescueco and Boo became our first foster, changing our lives as much as we helped to change his while we gave him a safe, cozy place to find his paws again. He turned into a different dog, from shut down to total love bug, within hours of coming to us. And went on to find the perfect forever home, where he no doubt has changed his new family’s life for the better forever, too. So this #COGivesDay I’m supporting the incredible underdogsrescueco, who not only changes the lives of the animals they work with, but also the lives of the volunteers who they support in the most incredible way. efirstbank communityfirstfoundation #cbdgiveaway
