Robbie Coltrane was a legendary Scottish actor best known for his iconic portrayal of Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series (2001–2011) and his role as the Russian gangster Valentin Zukovsky in the James Bond films GoldenEye (1995) and The World Is Not Enough (1999). On television, he gained massive acclaim for playing Dr. Eddie “Fitz” Fitzgerald in the crime drama Cracker (1993–1996), a role that earned him three consecutive BAFTA TV Awards for Best Actor and contributed to him receiving an OBE in 2006 for his services to drama.
