Spring allergies might be getting worse — and climate change could be a big reason 🤧🌼

If it feels like allergy season starts earlier every year, research suggests you’re not imagining it. Scientists say pollen season now begins about 20 days earlier than it did in 1990 and produces more than 20% more pollen.

Around 60 million Americans experience seasonal allergies, with symptoms like sneezing, congestion, and itchy, watery eyes.

Experts say warmer temperatures and higher CO₂ levels allow plants to grow longer and release more pollen — making allergy seasons longer and more intense.

To help reduce symptoms, experts recommend:
🌿 Keeping windows closed on high-pollen days
🚿 Showering after spending time outdoors
💊 Using over-the-counter antihistamines

But if you experience wheezing, chest tightness, or shortness of breath, it’s important to see a doctor.
