Anyone else getting a weird urge to re-activate their Tumblrs? 😳 John Green just announced his first novel in nine years and his first adult novel EVER. 

In a video making the announcement, John says his new book, ‘Hollywood Ending’ is about, “Two people in their 20s… who are in a movie together. The movie is called ‘Andy Warhol Never Gets Old’ – it’s about the last year of Andy Warhol’s life – and as the movie starts to blow up, their lives also start to blow up in ways that are exciting and also complicated and painful.” 

Hmm, sounds like something that happened to our good friends Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams...

John continued: “It’s about falling in love and living with trauma and also the thing we’re doing right now on the social internet where we take pieces of ourselves and exchange them for public attention.” The book is set to come out September 22 and is available for pre-order now. 

‘Turtles All the Way Down,’ published in 2017, was John’s last fiction novel with non-fiction being his focus more recently, publishing ‘Everything is Tuberculosis’ and ‘The Anthropocene Reviewed.’ 

So the real question here: will there be a happy ending or is John Green about to break our hearts again in the big year of 2026?
