'Sometimes' was recorded when Britney was just 16, during the sessions for her debut album ...Baby One More Time. The music video was filmed on a beach in Malibu, and the iconic all-white aesthetic almost didn’t happen. Britney reportedly injured her knee before the original shoot date, causing a delay and a full reshoot concept. The final version became one of her most recognizable early visuals ⁣

The song was a global smash, hitting Top 10 in multiple countries, including the UK and peaking at  #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.⁣
