ABANGSAPAU is a Malay-Sikh rapper who focuses on peeling back the layers of what it means to be Singaporean through his music. Signed to Def Jam Southeast Asia, his work sits within a growing wave of Southeast Asian rap. Working primarily in hip-hop, his sound also draws inspiration from folk music, alternative rap, indie, and pop, blending storytelling with melodic experimentation.

Fresh off the heels of his debut album, ABANGSAPAU has been running the hip-hop circuit between Singapore and Malaysia, performing at festivals, stadium shows, and national events across both countries. Through his visuals, styling, songwriting, and his signature sarusarung, ABANGSAPAUps his identity centre-stage; carving out a lane built on presence, conviction, and a story that is uniquely his, yet entirely familiar.
