Dick Lee is a celebrated Singaporean singer-songwriter, playwright, and creative director. A prolific composer for Asian icons like Sandy Lam and Jacky Cheung, Lee is perhaps most revered for penning “Home”, the 1998 National Day song.

Beyond music, Lee is a five-time Creative Director of the Singapore National Day Parade and has composed over 15 musicals, including Beauty World (1988) and Fried Rice Paradise (1991). A public conversation: "FUTURE GAZING: SINGAPOP WHAT'S NEXT?"
🗓 Monday, 13 Apr 2026
🕢 7:30PM – 9:00PM
📍 72-13, Home of T:>Works

The Public Conversations, first launched in 2024 under the T:>Works Season of Thought Leadership, were created as a platform for dialogue — bringing together cultural practitioners, artists, and audiences to reflect on the evolving role of cultures and arts in society. The inaugural conversation in 2024 was about the people’s cultures of a national theatre. In 2026, the public conversation centres on the futures of Singapop.
