While we’re all watching for the next youth movement, it’s the "wily veterans" keeping the line moving. Recent additions like Robert Suárez, Mike Yastrzemski, and Dominic Smith might be "longer in the tooth," but they’re proving there’s no substitute for a professional at-bat.

Through the first week, the veteran trio of Dubón, Smith, and Yaz combined for a .360 average—driving in or scoring 66% of the team’s total runs. As Manager Walt Weiss put it: they just keep the line moving.

Atlanta doesn't just have the oldest roster in MLB; they have one of the most experienced, grind-it-out lineups in the game.
