Temple Station deputies got a little help from an unexpected source during a recent early morning  shift…

The Temple Station training officer and his trainee conducted a pedestrian stop on a subject holding a sign that read: “Law Enforcement Training in Progress.”

Well… he wasn’t wrong.

Turns out the sign was pretty accurate, because the stop quickly turned into a real-world training opportunity. The subject was ultimately arrested for drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and multiple outstanding warrants.

We always say training never stops at Temple Station—but this time, the suspect brought his own sign to prove it.

Always training. Always learning. Sometimes… with props.
