DYK: No two Sol LeWitt wall drawings are ever exactly the same 📐

Just two weeks until opening, and “Wall Drawing 280” is coming to life at SFMOMA for “Reimagined: The Fisher Collection at 10” thanks to the fantastic Sol LeWitt installation team.

Each installation is a careful execution of LeWitt’s precise instructions on how to create the work, where teams of installers adapt line, angle, and color into spaces that differ in shape and size in real time. It’s a process rooted in both precision and human touch, where variability is not a flaw but an essential part of the work itself.

Starting Saturday, April 18, trace the details of 21 LeWitt works spanning wall drawings, works on paper, artist books, and his modular “structures.”
