New text messages disclosed in the lawsuit over the WWE-UFC merger show friction between Triple H and Vince McMahon over WWE creative in 2023, with Triple H repeatedly turning to Nick Khan and Ari Emanuel for support to contain Vince's role. The exhibits were broken down by Brandon Thurston of postwrestling

September 11, 2023 was the day before the TKO merger became final. Triple H texted Khan that morning:

Triple H: "How's it going so far? Man, I'm wound tight today.... DDay tomorrow, expecting the worst."

Later that night, Triple H wrote to Khan about Vince wanting to meet about talent releases:

Triple H: "While I'm SURE you like to be done with this shit for today..... Please let me know if you speak to AE." (Ari Emanuel)

On the morning of the merger, Triple H thanked Khan: "Thank you for getting us here... if it wasn't for you, I would have been gone a long time ago."

Khan replied: "You are my guy. You got me here. I want us to do this for 20 years and call it a day."
​
Two months later, on December 9, 2023, Triple H texted Khan after learning Vince was coming to Cleveland Raw: "Was just told by security that VKM is coming to Cleveland TV Monday. What's that about ??????"

The next day, Triple H expressed disappointment after a conversation with Ari Emanuel: "The more I think about it the more I'm kinda disappointed in that Ari convo..... Seems like we are in the same place, 'I'm gonna tell him to stay out of it or else,' that's way different than 'I'm telling him he's done..... it's over.' Kicking the can down the road."

Triple H also wrote: "Between you and I, It feels like they are both backtracking on the 'he's out' narrative. It's back to the 'well if he wants to go to the show now and then' and 'if he gives notes and wants to have a 30min meeting now and then, ok.'"

Notably, many of Khan's replies in these threads were marked "[Deleted by the sender]" in the court exhibits.

Vince McMahon resigned from all positions in TKO and WWE in January 2024.
