I drove from Leicester with no plan except “Bath and Bristol, two nights, go slow, and relax.” What I came back with was a restorative solo trip that’s been one of my best in the UK. And I’m sharing the details with you so you can do it, too! This isn’t a rushed tourist itinerary (I don’t love those). It’s the kind of weekend where you swim in a Victorian lido in the morning, eat parsnip crisps at a neighborhood lunch spot where the staff know everyone’s name, and end up standing on a rooftop pool in Bath feeling like you’ve transported to a new world.
