This is me and Kendrick at Janet’s Metamorphosis residency a few years back. Showing up and showing love — that’s just what we do.

Fast forward to now, and kendrick38 is playing Quincy Jones in the Michael Jackson biopic — and I’ll be right there in that theatre on April 25th showing love all over again.

Black Cinema Club HTX x bldpwr x The Session are bringing something truly special to Houston at the River Oaks Theatre — a screening of Michael with Kendrick himself in attendance as a special guest. Red carpet starts at 6:00 PM, film at 7:15 PM.

This one is bigger than a movie. It’s a celebration of legacy, Black excellence, and the kind of cultural greatness that doesn’t ask for permission. Houston, we don’t miss moments like this.
