Friendly reminder to the world and from one woman to another: aging is a privilege, not something to be ashamed of despite the media coverage it seems to attract. We should never be scared to experience aging as I’ve since realised having given this exact answer in an interview recently … 

Every line now was once a smile then and every change within every year is a reflection of a life we once fought to create , a life we have lived, lessons learned, and moments we survived.

We were never meant to be children forever, and there is no greater privilege on earth than growing older. Not everyone is given the gift of time, so I’ll try not to obsess over the teenage complexion I once had or take my adulthood days for granted. Even in my 30s I feel the pressure associated with youthful visions ! 

The narrative needs to change.  Wear your life’s age with pride, with unapologetic grace, and with the deep knowing that your worth has never been defined by your youth, your not yet lived in skin or your permission to carry the evidence of life 🫶🏻🩷
