Dan Levy became emotional while reflecting on the future of ‘Schitt's Creek’, revealing that a sequel is no longer on the table following the death of his co-star Catherine O'Hara.

Speaking during a 5 April interview with CBS Sunday Morning, in which Levy went to visit the Ontario town where the series was filmed, the star teared up as he admitted that continuing the story without O’Hara simply isn’t possible.

“You can’t,” he said, explaining that while he had previously considered revisiting the show, her absence changed everything.

"I didn't think that I would have quite an emotional reaction," he revealed.

Levy went on to share what was going on in his mind, saying, “Just a lot of memories. A lot of memories with Catherine. It's what you have to hold onto, the memories of it all."

O’Hara, who passed away on 30 January at age 71, was a central force behind the show’s success, starring as the iconic Moira Rose alongside Levy and his father, Eugene Levy. Levy described being overwhelmed by memories of their time working together, calling her “irreplaceable” and pointing to the deep emotional connection shared by both the cast and fans.
