As the first rehearsal approaches, Oriana Singers would like to welcome our director for the spring semester, Prof. Emily Wertz!

Prof. Emily Wertz is a product of the Penn State School of Music. She sang with Oriana her freshman year of college and assistant conducted the choir during her grad work. Prof. Wertz teaches voice at Lycoming College and The Music Academy, and she is passionate about equipping singers to use their natural voice freely and healthily, empowering them to grow in their knowledge, confidence, musicianship, and performance skills. In addition to her musical endeavors, she is a life coach, working one on one with clients to help them to get unstuck, take their next best step personally and professionally, and pursue the things that bring life and make a positive impact on the world.

Prof. Wertz lives in State College with her husband and 3 kids. For fun she loves to read, travel, drink excellent coffee, and share meals with family & friends.
