Why are the ratios for speed dating always off?

First, the gender ratios for speed dating will always vary from event to event, and that’s true for any event 👫. 

It doesn’t matter if you sell even numbers of each ticket type 🎟️, there will never be the exact same number of people who show up for the event because often times when it comes to speed dating, it’s not that people don’t have the INTENTION of showing up, it’s that they talk themselves out of the ACTION of showing up.

Second, if speed dating is always something you’ve wanted to try, I encourage you to try it at least once; however, if you are someone who is more shy or reserved, or does better talking with people while you’re already doing an activity rather than talking to someone face-to-face for 5 minutes, then speed dating is likely not for you–and that’s okay! 💚

I suggest looking into other, activity based singles events like a singles candle making class🕯️ or a singles trivia night⏳. 

Something where you are still going to be in a room full of individuals, like yourself, who are looking to meet someone special, but without the added pressure of having to have 10 back to back conversations in one sitting.
