4 years ago, I walked back into the gym… and unknowingly walked back into myself.

I didn’t start fitness yesterday.
As a teen, I moved my body at home.
At 41, I joined a gym.
I alternated between home workouts and gym life.

Then 2020 happened.
Work stress. Life stress.
Sleepless nights. High cortisol. Weight gain.

Few days to my birthday in 2021 I lost my Dad… the sleepless night n pain was intense. And then January 2022…
After my dad’s burial, grief sat heavy on my chest.
I needed something to hold me together.
So I chose movement.
I chose consistency.
I chose healing,  one workout at a time.

Four years later?
• The weight is gone
• The muscles showed up
• Strength replaced exhaustion
• Food became nourishment, not punishment
• Sleep returned
• Confidence found its voice

I didn’t just lose weight, I gained discipline, knowledge, patience, and peace.

The gym didn’t fix my life. God’s word did. 
The gym gave me a safe place to process it.
A place to breathe.
A place to rebuild.

And above all, God carried me through every rep, every season, every tear.
This journey has His fingerprints all over it 🙏🏽
The HolySpirit is my divine partner on this journey daily. 

Here’s to 4 years of showing up, even when it was hard.
Here’s to rewriting your story,  no matter your age, your past, or your pain.
Here’s to strength that starts inside and shows on the outside.

We keep going.
