To All Of The Dad’s Who Tried To Conceive This Year. 
To all of the Dad’s who thought, that this Father’s Day, they’d have their own little babe to take on walks, to nap with, to dream about the future with...to all of the Dad’s that tried. 
To all of the dad’s that were on standby on fertile days; who didn’t say anything when they felt less desirable the rest of the month; who knew when it was time to test; and, who sat with their partner and held them as they cried. To all of the dads who cried alone... because they didn’t want to add more stress to their partners. To all of the Dad’s who got their heart broken when a positive test turned into what felt like a broken promise. Who tried not to get mad at the world. Who tried to not feel jealous of other Dad’s...or resentful of the Dad’s who complained about their kids (again and again). To all of the Dad’s who felt the strain of infertility on their relationship. 
To all of the Dad’s who had their sperm analyzed and who felt like their dignity was tested (as they were put in a little room...when everyone knew what they had to do to produce a sample). To all of the Dad’s who didn’t have support systems or community’s devoted to male factor infertility #mfi - who felt lesser than when they were told that their sperm were ineffective...that there weren’t enough...that they were of poor quality. Who worried that their partners would leave them. Whose partners did leave them. 
To all of the Dads who are amazing Godfather’s, Uncle’s, Honorary Uncle’s and Irreplaceable Father Figures. A Dad is so much more than genetic material, an ingredient in a chromosome dance, a sample. 
To all of the Dad’s that tried. Happy Father’s Day. (*And Remember: without a rooster, an egg will never become a chick 🐥 ) #happyfathersday #infertilitysucks #infertilityawareness
