Hind Rajab was a 5-year-old girl who lived in Gaza. 

In January 2024, during the ongoing conflict in the region, her family tried to leave their area to find a safer place.

While they were traveling in a car, the vehicle came under heavy gunfire. Hind was inside the car with her relatives.

According to reports, several of her family members were killed. 

Hind survived initially and was trapped inside the car.

She managed to contact emergency services by phone. In the call, she sounded frightened and cried for help, asking rescuers to save her. An ambulance was sent to reach her, but due to the intense fighting, rescue efforts became extremely dangerous.

Days later, when the area was finally accessed, Hind and the ambulance crew were found dead.

Her story deeply moved people around the world and became a tragic symbol of how armed conflicts affect innocent children.
