That Kids Ladakh Dream... I have practically grown up seeing Royal Enfield Bullet being repaired and serviced right outside the place that I grew up in Hyderabad. I guess that's why it was no wonder that I was so in love with the thumping of the Bull. 
To add to more daydreaming there was a Royal Enfield showroom bang opposite my junior college days.

Everyday after college and before getting into the bus back home I would keep staring at the bullets put up in the show Windows. I very clearly remember that the cost of Royal Enfield during the 1993 1995 period used to be around 57800 give or take. 
It was only in 2005 after a good 12 years I had saved enough to buy my own Royal Enfield Bullet I remember having page 78800 and a few more hundred rupees for some accessories. 
Yet the Ladakh dream always away from me and was never ever looking positive to happen anytime soon. 
In 2013 after having been to Ladakh the year before for a normal photography tour I had convinced my manager that I will not be taking any other offs during the year but need to do this trip and I took 28 days to make this trip happen.

With limited to no planning done by myself but a lot more done by a friend who travelled along with me we set off from Jammu travelled through to Srinagar then went on to Kargil then to zanskar then went on to lamayuru from there to Leh & other parts of Ladakh like Pangong Tsomoriri  and many other such places before heading back to Kalka where we put our bikes into the train and headed back to Calcutta.

There are certain patches in this journey which have kind of etched forever mark on my soul which I may try and describing words but will fail to explain how it feels.
